Hi! I’m Kelley.

Kelley Galloway-Lavender & Cream

I’ve loved food since birth I think. Who hasn’t, really? The change in seasons constantly reminds me of meals past. Summer is sweet strawberry-walnut salad and creamy peach ice cream. Fall is my mom’s chili (we eat it every Halloween), local apple cider, and oven roasted pumpkin seeds. Winter is warm tea with milk and honey, Christmas cookies, and my dad’s beef stew. Spring is fresh fruits and vegetables, a sign that mother nature has come full circle and the crops are abundant.

As nostalgic as I get about food and the memories tied to it, it wasn’t until my senior year of college that I actually discovered my love of cooking and baking. Since then I’ve been seen at farmer’s markets, Trader Joe’s, the Italian Market, and local meat and cheese shops across Eastern Pennsylvania. What can I say? I’ve always got a stocked pantry and my fridge is always full (I’d invite you over but the place is a mess right now).

While I didn’t discover my love of cooking until late in the game, I’ve always been drawn to writing. I studied food writing in college with an exceptionally talented professor who inspired me to write this blog over 3 years after taking that course.

And here I am.
